International Students

Northeastern is very welcoming to all foreign students. You'll join the thousands of undergraduate and graduate students from more than 120 countries already on campus. And to ensure that your stay is comfortable, our International Student & Scholar Institute (ISSI) is dedicated to serving you. Most of ISSI's many support services and activities are provided to Pathways student for free.

ISSI is a major resource for all international students on campus. In addition to helping you with questions about visas and travel, the ISSI has a busy calendar of activities throughout the year, starting with your orientation. For example, International Carnevale is a two month long cultural festival designed to promote intercultural understanding in a very friendly environment. Many trips are organized to explore Boston as well as the countryside and seashore outside of the city. Even trips to New York City are available.
